We create standards for Calgarians to live by and the standards help us work with you build beautiful, healthy, and safe communities. We educate and regulate Calgary businesses, dog and cat owners, the taxi industry, and every-day citizens.

  • 911 Emergency Centre

    ​Calgary 9-1-1 operates within Community Services and the core business is answering and evaluating 9-1-1 calls and dispatching police, fire or medical response to the city of Calgary and Municipal Districts of Bighorn, Rocky View and Kananaskis.

  • Animal and Bylaw Services

    The role of Animal & Bylaw Services is to help develop and enforce some bylaws and provincial statutes, as well as educating the public about responsible citizenship and pet ownership.
