Calgary Fire Department
Mission
To serve the community through excellence in fire prevention, education, protection and safety.
Vision
To be the international fire service leader.
-
Home Safety Program
We visit Calgary homes to share important fire safety information, inspect smoke alarms, and if necessary replace batteries or alarms.
-
Youth Firesetters Y-FIRES
A program for children ages 3 to 17 who have set fires or are drawn to playing with fire. Our free, confidential program educates about fire safety and helps modify fire setting behaviour.
-
Fire Cadets
The program gives high school students the opportunity to learn about what it takes to be a firefighter, through teaching life-skills like leadership, community involvement, teamwork, pride and respect.
-
Fire Safety Education Program
The Fire Safety Trailer and education program allows Calgary students to listen and learn about bedroom and kitchen fire safety. Students then practice the home emergency skills they just learned.
