Andre Chabot was first elected to Council in a by-election in February 2005 and has spent the past 10 years serving Ward 10.
Andre moved to the community of Forest Lawn from Saskatchewan with his parents and siblings in 1971. He has called Ward 10 home ever since and has raised his own family in the Ward.
Prior to being elected he operated, managed and owned electronic parts distribution businesses for over 18 years. Prior to that, he worked in other construction roles for almost a decade.
In addition to his various entrepreneurial business experiences, he brings to City Hall over 10 years of voluntary board experience, working for the Marlborough Park Community Association, Calgary-East Conservative Riding Association and various other community-based and non-profit boards.
Andre brings a wealth of knowledge to Council from his electronics and construction industry experience and uses this knowledge to protect Calgary’s interests by advocating for legislative changes to provincial energy regulations and federal telecommunication regulations.
In his limited free time, Andre loves playing hockey and working on cars.
