Update your information

Ensure that you have a fair and equitable assessment by updating all of your information. Have you decided to forego a fence? Or maybe you renovated your basement. Update that information in Assessment Search. 

  1. You will see four sections: ‘Property Information’, ‘Requested Information’, ‘Contact Information’ and ‘Summary’.
  2. The ‘Property Information’ section is the first to open, once you have reviewed and confirmed the
  3. information, click “Next”

  1. The second section, ‘Requested Information’ will then open. Select the information you require, then click “Next”.
  2. This will lead you to the third section, ‘Contact Information’. Enter the required fields, then click “Next”.
  3. When all fields have been completed, click “Submit”.

Assessed Persons and/or their authorized agents may request additional assessment information by using the online Assessment Information Request (AIR) service on Assessment Search or submitting an AIR form.

Note: Only customers who own non-residential and multi-residential properties, and their authorized agents, are able to use the online service. All others must complete and submit the appropriate paper form below. Customers who submit an AIR form will be billed a $50 fee for each assessment roll number requested if the information requested is available online or available through online request.

Residential - Property Assessment Information Request (PAIR)

An assessed person or their authorized agent should use this form to:

  • Request, under section 299 of the Municipal Government Act (MGA), information about how the assessor prepared the assessment of that person’s residential property.
  • Request, under section 300 of the MGA, summary assessment information about any assessed comparable residential property in the municipality (to a maximum of five (5) properties).

For single residential property owners, most assessment information requests can be answered through Assessment Search. If you need assistance using or accessing Assessment Search, please contact Assessment at 403.268.2888. There is a $50 fee for each assessment roll number requested if the information requested is available online or available through online request.

As part of the AIR, customers may request an Assessment Explanation Supplement (AES) report on their own property or business, AES reports on up to five (5) comparable properties or businesses (per subject property or business) and Additional Information that may include previous years Assessment Requests for Information (ARFI), sales ARFI, subject photos, account correspondence, appraisals, etc. (an additional $75 fee applies for Additional Information requests). The AES report explains how the assessment of a specific property or business was prepared.

Residential property owners

After logging into Assessment Search, you can view:

  • Your Property Assessment Detail Report
  • Property Assessment Summary Reports on up to 50 comparable properties
  • Sales information for properties sold within three years of the valuation date of July 1

Non-residential and multi-residential property owners

After logging into Assessment Search, you can view:

  • Your Property Assessment Detail Report
  • Property Assessment Summary Reports on up to 50 comparable properties, with AES reports for each of the comparables
  • Sales information for properties sold within three years of the valuation date of July 1

If you exceed the 50 online Assessment Summary Reports limit, additional reports may be authorized by requesting additional Assessment Summary Report views. Any requests for additional online Assessment Summary Reports received in other formats will not be accepted or processed.​​​
