On October 10, 2024, the City of Calgary and the Government of Alberta announced that work will continue on the design for the alignment between 4 Street S.E. in the Beltline and Shepard, in the southeast. Simultaneously, AECOM developed a revised alignment for the downtown on behalf of the province, which was submitted to The City on December 13, and is available to view here.
The alignment is only one component of the due diligence that The City needs to undertake before making a decision on a reimagined Green Line.
Updates will be provided as next steps are agreed to.
