Old and used electronics can be recycled at various locations around Calgary.
Please note: Our City Eco Centres accept different electronics materials than other electronics recycling depots.

Acceptable electronics items
The list below is just a sample of appliances and electronics that can now be recycled at City Eco Centres.
The City is participating in a pilot with Alberta Recycling Management Authority (ARMA) to help divert even more electronic items from the landfill. The pilot has expanded the scope of residential electronic products that can be recycled without adding new consumer fees.

City Eco Centres
Bring your electronics to a City of Calgary Eco Centre for free recycling. There is no charge to bring electronics to an Eco Centre unless your load contains other garbage.
Do NOT put electronics into your any of your carts (blue, black or green).

We are partnered with the following organizations who are registered with the Alberta Recycling Management Authority.
These electronics recycling depots are for residential use only. These locations accept all the same electronics materials as listed above for City Eco Centres.

Other electronics recycling options
Please note: These locations are not part of the ARMA provincial stewardship program but may accept some electronics for recycling.
Contact each business directly to find out what items are accepted, any associated fees, along with locations and hours.
You can also donate working computers and other electronics to local charities.
Other electronics recycling drop-off locations may be available at your local electronics store. Please contact them directly to find out what items they may accept.

Remember to protect your privacy: Clear personal information from computers, cell phones and electronics prior to dropping off (wipe your drives/clear your SIM cards).
The City of Calgary is not responsible for personal information contained on your electronic devises by City non-partnered recycling depots.
