Various Street Improvements Program
The City of Calgary’s Various Street Improvements (VSI) Program runs each year from April through to November and includes locations across the city.
The program manages the construction of miscellaneous improvements to existing roadway and mobility infrastructure, including turn bay extensions and/or widenings, intersection improvements, traffic calming features, sidewalks, pathways, transit facilities, and drainage solutions.
The priority of most of these projects is to improve safety, service levels, quality and accessibility. These projects are often related to development, transportation optimization capacity, Area Redevelopment Plans (ARP), safety, and other community issues.
Projects may take a few days to a few months to complete. Locations are marked on the Roadway activities map. Please note, locations may be added, removed or delayed due to budget availability and coordination with other City projects and initiatives.
