Credit and Collections is responsible for the collection of City of Calgary receivables, including Business Improvement Area (BIA) tax​, property tax, and corporate invoices, as well as accepting and evaluating credit for customers that regularly utilize City services.

  • ​The Alberta Municipal Government Act (MGA), regulations and City of Calgary bylaws provide the legislative authority to impose collection activity.
  • A collection officer will take appropriate action as necessary to collect the balance in full.
