Canada Day 2024
Join friends and family on July 1 for a day of lively performances and activities that highlight our country’s diversity.
Festivities start at 11 a.m. at The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland (formerly Fort Calgary), where you can catch an amazing, all-Canadian line-up of musical performances. Head over to St. Patrick’s Island to meet Calgary's Firefighters and learn more about how their Aquatic Rescue Team keeps people safe when they're enjoying Calgary's waterways.
Check out the Children's Art Activity Tent for creative fun, where kids can take part in various arts and crafts at Olympic Plaza, or Hit Us with Your Best Kick Shot with some fun-filled soccer challenges and inflatable fun.
Enjoy free, family-friendly fun with an Indigenous showcase and powwow, live music, cultural performances, food trucks and more. Cap off the day with a spectacular fireworks show above Stampede Park shortly after 11 p.m.

To help shape festivities for 2025 and beyond, tell us at calgary.ca/CanadaDaySurvey what’s important to you on Canada Day and what an ideal event looks like.
Note: The safety of all Calgarians is our number one priority. All Canada Day activities will be dependent on any emergency considerations in place at the time. The Festivals & Events Team is working closely with the Emergency Operations Centre to ensure Canada Day celebrations do not impact Calgary’s water supply during this critical time. The event will adhere to water restrictions currently in place and limit and monitor discretionary water use.
