Summer Festivals, 2024

This summer, Calgary is buzzing with an array of exciting festivals celebrating cultural diversity and community spirit. From August 9-11 at Shaw Millennium Park, join the fun at the Calgary Arab Festival, which will highlight Arab culture through clothing, cuisine, dance, and art. On August 10, Olympic Plaza will come alive with Franco Festival Calgary, a celebration of Francophone cultures from around the globe. The same day, High Park will feature the BUMP 2024 Graffiti Jam, offering live graffiti art, music, local food, and a 3 on 3 basketball tournament.

August 10-11 will see the Korean Day Festival at Calgary Parking Lot 6, where you can enjoy traditional Korean dance, K-pop, food, and a parade. On August 10, Central Memorial Park will host Toranj, Calgary's largest Iranian festival, showcasing live performances, Iranian cuisine, and cultural displays. Marda Gras Street Festival returns on August 11 to 33rd Avenue SW with a pedestrian-friendly, family-focused event featuring live music, dance, and entertainment.

GlobalFest, running from August 15-24 at Elliston Park, offers five nights of multicultural festivities with dancing, music, food, and spectacular fireworks displays. Carifest, from August 16-18, celebrates Caribbean culture with a colorful parade from Olympic Plaza to Shaw Millennium Park, culminating in a festival of live music and food. Finally, from August 16-18, Prince's Island Park will host Expo Latino Festivals, Western Canada’s largest Latino festival, promising a vibrant weekend of food, artisans, dancing, music, and entertainment.
