Shop Local at Calgary's Farm Stands!

Calgary’s Farm Stand Program is back, bigger and better than ever! Aligned with the CalgaryEATS! Food Action Plan and the City’s Food Resilience Plan, this initiative aims to improve access to fresh, healthy, and affordable food options for all Calgarians. By supporting local and regional food producers, the Farm Stand Program brings delicious fruits, vegetables, and artisanal products, predominantly from Alberta and BC, right to your neighborhood.

In addition to offering fresh produce, the Farm Stand Program is a great way to build community connections. By shopping at these stands, you not only support local farmers but also engage with your neighbors and learn more about where your food comes from. It's a fun and educational experience for the whole family!

This year, we’re excited to expand the program to include nine fantastic farm vendors and six new locations, facilitating about 30 farm stands across Calgary. In 2023, the Farm Stand Program served approximately 20,000 Calgarians and generated around $500,000 in revenue for local and regional farmers. This success supports the growth of our local food economy and strengthens our food system.
