Albertans, including temporary foreign workers, may also be eligible to receive a one-time payment of $1,250 for each adult and an additional $500 for each child under 18.

Canadian Red Cross relief for Jasper residents

The Canadian Red Cross is distributing $750 in one-time financial assistance per household for people evacuated from their primary residence in Jasper.

Canadian Red Cross is also distributing an additional $500 in one-time financial assistance per household for people who are registered and whose primary residence is in Jasper. This assistance is meant to help respond to ongoing needs such as food, transportation, or clean-up supplies as people begin returning to Jasper, and to support those who are unable to return. 

To access this assistance, people must be registered with the Red Cross. Canadian Red Cross will verify eligibility for this assistance based on information submitted during registration.

People who have not yet registered with the Red Cross are encouraged to do so online at www.redcross.ca/albertawildfires or by calling 1-800-863-6582 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. MT.

Residents of another country
