Unique Purchase & Development Opportunity in Inglewood
The City of Calgary is inviting respondents to submit proposals to purchase four contiguous parcels of land and lead the financing, planning, design and development of the Inglewood Fire Station/Mixed-Use Development. Through this public competition The City will assess respondent proposals selecting the proposal best able to deliver on The City’s objectives for the property.
The City’s objective is to achieve a medium or high-density mixed-use development that includes the construction of a new two bay Fire Station that will be funded, owned and operated by The City, combined with an appropriate mix of housing, commercial, office, retail or other private use(s) to be financed, designed, constructed, owned and operated by a private entity. The development will be designed to be a transit-oriented development, supporting the MAX Purple Bus Rapid Transit route, the future Inglewood Ramsay Green Line LRT station, while supporting the draft Historic East Calgary Area Redevelopment Plan. Due to the solicitation for a design build civic use (fire station), the offering must be made by way of a response to a Request for Proposal (RFP No. 20-1528) through MERX, The City’s electronic bid system. All information can be found at www.merx.com.
