Community Sustainability Reserve
Funding Process: There is no open call for funding. Funds are allocated to community associations and social recreation groups on City-owned land, based on a business case completed by a City liaison (i.e. neighbourhood partnership coordinator or sport liaison) when there is an extraordinary need for operating funds to move an organization out of crisis into long-term stability.
In 2023 The City of Calgary allocated $157,002 to four community partnersfrom this reserve fund.

COVID-19 relief funding support
On May 11, 2020, City Council approved $6 million in relief funding directed toward community associations and social recreation groups with a Lease/License of Occupation (Council Policy - CSPS011) with The City of Calgary. These funds were approved to support groups to cover a portion of their non-negotiable operating costs for up to 12 months due to the impacts of facility closures brought on by COVID-19 health restrictions.
