At The City, we are committed to providing fair and accurate property assessments. Not sure if your property assessment accurately reflects your property's value as of the July 1 valuation date? Review your assessment during the Customer Review Period noted on your assessment notice. Check your assessment notice for exact dates.
Give us a call to discuss your property assessment concerns or questions. Our assessment team will be pleased to:
- Discuss your property information and details
- Explain how the market value was determined
- Refer you to sales of similar properties in your neighbourhood
If there is an error, our team member will correct your assessment without the need for you to file a complaint with the Assessment Review Board.
Frequently asked questions
Filing an Assessment Review Board complaint
You may file a complaint with the Assessment Review Board (ARB), which is separate from The City of Calgary. File on or before the Final Date to File a Complaint on the front of your assessment notice. The complaint form, complaint agent authorization form, and more information are available at calgaryarb.ca or 403-268-5858.
