Archives overview
The City of Calgary Archives was created in 1981 to safeguard and make available Calgary’s municipal government records and city information. Everyone is welcome to research the records held at the archives.
At The City of Calgary Archives, historical records and information can be found relating to the following:
- records created by The City of Calgary and City Council activities,
- Parks,
- Planning,
- Property assessments,
- Transportation, and
- Calgary events such as the XV Olympic Winter Games.

The City of Calgary Archives Portal is now open!
The portal improves access to records held at the Archives and makes visits to view non-digitized records more efficient.
Olympic Brick Register
The Olympic Brick Register contains purchaser information. Staff are available to help guide people through the information. Appointments not required. View the Register in person at:

Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 – 4 p.m.
