Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA)
The City uses privacy impact assessments (PIAs) to identify privacy risks. The Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) (GN-022) policy requires all City projects, practices and information technology systems that involve the collection, use or disclosure of personal information to undergo a PIA.

Privacy impact assessment process: ensures compliance with the FOIP Act and City Administration policy, identifies privacy risks, and evaluatates protections and alternative processes to mitigate or avoid privacy risks.
