Name or rename an asset
If you’re interested in submitting a naming or renaming request, please follow the steps below to begin the process.

1. Review the naming policy
Read through The City’s Naming of City Assets Policy to make sure your suggestion follows the guidelines.

2. Consult with the Policy Steward's team
Contact the Policy Steward's team for guidance and to connect with the right team that will support your naming/renaming request.

3. Prepare and submit your application
After consulting with the Policy Steward’s team, you can prepare and email your naming application to the designated Asset Steward’s team, who will assist with processing your application and advising you on the required next steps.
Comment on naming initiatives
When City assets are named, they are required to undergo a public engagement process. If there are any active naming initiatives, they will be posted on The City’s Engage website. You can view the site here for the latest updates on open public engagement opportunities.
