Old and broken appliances

  • Take to an electronics recycling drop-off

Take old and broken appliances for free to an electronics recycling drop-off. You can also take these items to a City Eco Centre for free – if you bring with other garbage, charges will apply.

  • This is for countertop heating appliances that have a power cord or runs on a battery/charger.

Special instructions

  • Remove all food residue and cooking oil from appliance before taking to a drop-off location.
  • Do NOT put electronics in your blue cart as these items can damage the equipment at the recycling facility.
