Ogden

In November 2024 the Green Line team hosted information sessions along the southeast portion of the alignment. We shared the current 60% design for stations between Ramsay/Inglewood and Shepard, as well as plans for bridges and guideways.

At this level of design, key elements have been established and we were able to show Calgarians how these features will integrate within their communities.

What we shared about Ogden station:

• Ogden: 60% station design
• Ogden Road elevated crossing: As the Green Line moves south into Lynnwood/Millican it will cross over Ogden Road, just south of Refinery Park.
• Canopies, platforms and station areas: At-grade station design

Key features:

• Central plaza creating a new community hub and connection to the station
  
• Event space for community programming
• Land for future transit-oriented developments
• Shared amenities within the transit platform, bus waiting area and pedestrian corridors
• Partial canopy coverage on platforms
• Platform shelters
• Seating and lean rails for passengers
• Bicycle parking

There is an opportunity to create a community mural on the wall separating Ogden Station and the CPKC tracks to reflect the spirit and unique history of the area.  

The central plaza provides a connection between the station and the community, with the large open area at the centre ideal for hosting community events.
