Green Line Thank You

Today, the Green Line Board concluded their mandate and transferred responsibility of the Green Line LRT Program to the City of Calgary.

The Board was recruited in 2021 from more than 300 candidates to bring their experience and expertise in megaproject infrastructure, planning, finance, and governance to deliver Phase 1 of the Green Line LRT.

The rigor, discipline, and commitment that the Board brought to deliver on the direction provided by Calgary City Council is something that all Calgarians should be incredibly proud of.

In addition to the transition of the program to the City of Calgary, Green Line’s CEO, Darshpreet Bhatti, has shared that he will be leaving the Project. Darshpreet joined Green Line in August 2021 to bring his significant experience in transit megaprojects and through his leadership, set an incredible vision and course for the Green Line project team.

It has been a challenging path, and we appreciate the experience and oversight that they all brought to Green Line, the legacy left to us, and the lessons they taught us.
