How The City tackles potholes.
The City’s road network is how Calgarians move and get around. This network is a vital piece of infrastructure, and annual repair programs are big part of The City’s work. Our annual paving programs see $40 million invested in rehabilitating our roads, and. $5 million invested in sidewalk repair and installation of new wheelchair ramps. The City of Calgary’s Mobility Construction and Materials teams manage the delivery of these programs.
The City of Calgary’s Mobility Maintenance team performs pothole maintenance year-round. This $6.9 million dollar program sees the filling of potholes citywide, with most repairs happening during the warmer months.
