Demolition of Artpoint, Mustard Seed and Green Leaf Buildings

Three buildings on the Green Line route were demolished in the summer and fall of 2024. These include the old Mustard Seed building at 11 Avenue and Centre Street S., the Artpoint Gallery in Ramsay at 17 Avenue and 11 Street S.E., and the Green Leaf building at 16 Avenue and Centre Street N.

While the Artpoint and Mustard Seed buildings were located along the Phase 1 route, the Green Leaf building is part of a future phase. However, the three buildings were brought together for demolition under one contract to increase efficiency with remaining early works projects ahead of main construction of stations and tracks.

Demolition details
Demolition included interior stripping and abatement, followed by the structural demolition, foundation removal, backfill, and grading.
