Developing and building a modern event centre requires specialized skills and experience. The City and our project partner, the Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation (CSEC), hired industry experts to help manage, design, and build Scotia Place. Each team brings valuable knowledge that will help make Scotia Place a lively and accessible location in the heart of Calgary's Culture + Entertainment District.

A complete, B Corp design practice comprising architects, urban planners, interior designers, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, landscape architects, and sustainability consultants, DIALOG now has over 600 employees across North America. The practice has studios in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and San Francisco.

Other projects include CITYPARK in St. Louis, Missouri; Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia and Rogers Place and the ICE District in Edmonton, Alberta.
CANA and Mortenson will manage the day-to-day activities of constructing Scotia Place, ensuring the event centre is built on schedule, within budget and according to The City’s design and building standards. They will also coordinate with subcontractors and address any issues that arise during construction.

Mortenson: For nearly thirty years, Mortenson has been shaping skylines across the country and building a reputation as a leading name in sports construction. They understand the high level of skill and knowledge required for complex projects. Mortenson recognizes that a well-designed and constructed facility can positively impact revenue, operations, and the fan experience. Other projects of theirs include the Chase Centre in San Francisco, California and the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.
