Timing and sequencing

Plans are sequenced based on recommendations from the Established Areas Growth and Change Strategy, development permit application numbers, and with considerations for equity in planning and major infrastructure projects, like new LRT lines. Local plans will take anywhere between 2 – 3 years to complete.

Coming soon

Over the long term, the goal is to create local area plans for all established communities. Areas to focus on next are based on many factors including level of change and redevelopment being experienced, resources and funding, and more. The next local area plan will launch in late 2025 – stay tuned for more info!
