90% Design Information

In December 2025, the design for Douglas Glen reached the 90% milestone. This means that the design is almost done; only fine tuning remains before construction can begin.  At 90%, the design is fully developed with all plans and specifications, and compliance with codes and standards.

Any comments or revisions from the 90% design, once successfully implemented, can then be converted into an Issue For Construction (IFC) set of drawings, allowing construction to begin.

The 60% design milestone was met in late 2024, and the designs are available to view here

Public Spaces

With Douglas Glen Station having a strong presence along 114 Avenue S.E., there is an opportunity for the station's public spaces to serve multiple purposes and encourage pedestrians to interact with the space. The station area and landscaping provide opportunities for art installations. Whether individuals are waiting at transit stops, riding the train or walking within the station, they can interact with the art displayed within it.

A central event space between the Park and Ride, station area and bus loop, will allow for future public events.
