Located in the heart of downtown Calgary, Bottlescrew Bill’s offers an extensive beer menu, featuring over 300 options that are both local and international. Providing its customers with quality service and food, Bottlescrew Bill’s has been a popular choice for Calgarians since it was established in 1980.

In preparation for the Calgary Stampede, Bottlescrew Bill’s wanted to expand its already extensive patio, building a seasonal public patio on 10 Avenue SW. With Green Line construction occurring in the area, our team worked closely with the pub and The City’s seasonal patio program to find a solution.

“Working with the Green Line has been really easy,” said Geoff Allen, owner of Bottlescrew Bill’s.

Green Line’s Business Support Program makes it a priority to keep businesses accessible and vibrant during construction.

“We’ve had a clear and open line of communication, everyone’s been really good at responding, it hasn’t been too disruptive.”

Allan explains how important it was to establish the patio before the increased rush during the stampede. “We have a lot of larger groups come in, so having the extra seats, and being able to accommodate more people is what we needed.”.

With increased space for seating, Allan says the seasonal public patio will provide extra comfort during the busiest time of the year.

Being located close to the future Green Line Centre Street S. Station, Bottlescrew Bill’s will serve as a prime location for riders to stop in and enjoy one of the many food and drink options they have to offer.
